Hectic Week

Wow! The last week of 2012 proved to be a hectic one for me. I reckon all those prayers that some people do while sitting on their church chairs or temples succeeded in stopping the world from ending 😉 and I was fortunately  busy not because of work but rather having a week full of fun and joy.

1. I attended my niece’s wedding last Saturday and met up with many of my aunts and cousins.
2. I met up with friends on Christmas eve and Christmas day
3. I spent some quality time with mom, shopping and eating
4. I, finally, went to Universal Studios Singapore last Thursday (more of that later).. Yeay!

 

Anyway, the new year is coming people. What are your plans for the countdown?

I Hate Being Sick

I haven’t been feeling well this past week. I’m sneezing all the time so I thought it was my allergies. After taking my allergy pills and the sneezing continues, I decided that it’s probably the flu. I took panadol for cold and that seems to do the trick although now my nose is dripping. I told Azaj that perhaps he should hook me up to a patient monitor to make sure I am alright when I sleep coz I am not breathing through my mouth. I hate being sick!

Nikita

Me and Azwaj been watching this show called Nikita. It’s about an ex-agent that is trying to bring back an agency that has gone rogue. What is awesome about the show is how they trained all this agent in fighting and of course self defense. I mean Nikita is one woman you don’t want to trap in an alley. She does not need weapons.. she is lethal enough on her own but can you imagine when is armed with self defense weapons? I want to fight like her!

My First Multifocal Lens Glasses

I’ve been planning to get my multifocal lens glasses for the longest time. However I keep postponing it for no real reason. Then I decided that since today is “121212”, I thought what better way to mark the date right?

So I talked to Azwaj about it and he agreed so off we went to my optician. After trying on numerous pairs (apparently the frame got to be of a particular measurement) and taking pictures of myself at the shop (I am blind as a bat so Azwaj will take picture of me with the frames and I will look at it properly with with my glasses on), we decided on the one that looks best on me.

I can’t wait to get it but it seem since my prescription is sort of unique, they got to special order the lenses from the States which means I will only get my glasses in two weeks time.. Oh well something to look good in the New Year right?

I Love Hot Chocolate

I enjoy the occasional hot chocolate whenever I feel like I had too much coffee for day. So whenever I find swiss miss hot chocolate with marshmallows at the grocery shop, I know I got to get a few boxes for my pantry. Nothing like hot chocolate with marshmallow just before bedtime right? .. but then again marshmallows taste good with almost anything.. lol!

Business Stationery for Me

I really really really need to get some business card made.. PRONTO!!!

I was at an event yesterday and because I usually go as media, the organisers almost always want my business card and I don’t have any I always got to say.. I run out.. OMG!! so not professional right? Anyway perhaps I should get some nice cheap envelope printing done as well so that I can I send thank you cards for the invite on proper stationery..

Yeap.. definitely one of my todo list!

Happy December All

So the wedding that I was supposed to go with my mom actually turned out to be on 22nd December and not on the 2nd as told by one of my aunt. There goes my planning. But you know what.. it turned out to be blessing as I really wouldn’t be able to enjoy my trip this time knowing Smokey, my fur-kid, is not feeling well. God always does his planning right, that’s for sure.

So my USS trip is pushed back to 27th December (hoping for a sun shining day) and since 26th is my mom’s off day from her stall, everything worked out perfectly!

..oh happy December everyone! Ready or not 2013 is sneaking up on us!
