Karaoke Night

It’s been a while since I’ve gone for Karaoke. In fact I think the last time I actually went was in 1999! OMG right?!

Anyway, when I was back in Singapore, there is this tv game show that has Karaoke as it’s theme. Participants are supposed to sing their song of choice while filling up certain empty lyrics spots. The song genre for that show was “ROCK” (much to my delight).. so what do you know.. I was singing along in no time. Too bad I didn’t have my blue yeti microphone with me.. lol!

Azwaj and His Fellow Guitarist Friends

Azwaj is having some friends over and when those friends happened to be fellow musicians, you can be assured the amplifiers and guitars comes out to the living room. One of his friends even brought along his latest guitar effects to test with Azwaj’s multiple guitars! Now all they need to do is to record what they’re playing and with software like protools, we may have some awesome songs people..

Happy 44th Birthday to Me!

Yeap it’s my birthday for the 44th time this year and since 4 is my favourite number, double 4 makes it all the sweeter.

It already started on a great note with an awesome pool party on 8th March (I swore if it was on the 9th, I would have bought to cake and call it MY party) organised by my condo building. Yeah it wasn’t organised FOR me but rather the re-opening of the swimming pool but it sure felt like a party and I had a great time. We had tents, stage, GREAT food and lucky draw… and guess what.. little old me won something too! How awesome right?

Guess which one I won?

Tents, balloons, pool.. all for me? lol!

Shopping for Sofa

We are on the lookout for a new sofa. Our existing sofa has really been a scratching post for the furkids and it really looks really worn out. So we decided to get a new one and just place the existing one at a corner that they like and really let them use it for their playtime.

We found something we liked yesterday and it was perfect coz it had metal support. Metal equal no scratch post right? lol. But since we are shopping, we will look around and decide after we’ve seen a few more. Anyway, we also saw some lcd tv going on sale but I told Azwaj that if ever we got one of these, we need to make sure that it is mountable on the wall  (the kids run like there’s someone chasing them and the whole tv cabinet would shake) or we have to get a flat mount for the tv.

Sad News..

I got a phone call with very sad news. My aunt has just been diagnosed with cancer. The doctors aren’t sure which stage yet but she is going through more test this Friday to see if the cancer has spread to the bones. She has always been with me through my time of need and I wished I could be there for now giving her and her family support as they go through this.

I will definitely be there for her surgery but in the meantime, my prayers goes out to her.

The Guitarist Husband

You know you have a guitarist for a husband when you see him walking around the house with his ibanez guitar strapped around his shoulders. Azwaj is currently in one of his creative moods and I see him with his headphones and guitar plugin into the amplifier whenever he is not working. I don’t know if he is practicing for something or writing a song for me since it’s my birthday soon.. lol!

Facial Spa with Mom at Statice Wellness Spa (I120 Katong, Singapore)

On my last trip to Singapore, I decided that I would bring my mom for a facial spa day. So I looked around at Groupon Singapore and found a perfect one nearby where we live. So on 1st March, both me and mom went for a facial spa day.

The offer was really economical as for SGD$23, we got 75 min Facial, Face Mask, Eye Treatment, Eyebrow Trimming, Neck and Shoulder Massage plus an additional Ampoule treatment. My mom also got to experience her first real spa experience. How cool is that right?

All in all, it was a really nice experience for both of us and my mom told me her face never felt so smooth and clean before.. lol!
