Happy Cheese Day

Now that I’ve officially stuffed myself with two kinds of cheesecake from Secret Recipe tonight (it’s my birthday, I’m allowed to splurged.. hahah), it’s time to lay low on the cheese this month. After all I did have a Blueberry Cheese Tartlet field day earlier this month from my baking class in Singapore.. yumss..

I’m thinking of ways to lose weight safely now especially since there might a period of inactivity for me when I go under the knife again in the next month or so. Yeap..  you heard me right, the cyst is back and this time with a full vengeance. At last scan, it was 6cm already and once again the doctor is worried it might twist or rupture.

Some kind of birthday present eh? Oh well.. trying to find a silver lining in all this 😉

A Tartlet Saturday

At this moment, it is unsure how long I will be in Singapore this time around. If I can get all my work done by Thursday then I can leave for home on Friday but if that is not possible, I think I would have to spend the weekend there as well.

I hate travelling over the weekend as the number of cars going into Malaysia, even though I will be on the second link, is horrendous over the weekend. It’s as if, all Singaporean escape to Malaysia during that time causing the coach that I’ll likely be on to be stuck in a massive traffic jam. I had the same experience twice and like they say, once bitten twice shy right. I mean a 10minute ride can last as long as 2-3hours and I don’t think I want to go that that torture! Yeah I can probably watch a movie on my phone or day dream of a fantastic spain holiday  sightseing soaking in all the wonderful things that I’m sure I can find in Spain while the coach go through the jam, but I rather spend the 3hour in Singapore doing something else. My BFF, who is a fantastic baker, is having a class on tart making session on Saturday so I reckon I can attend that one. It would make a more fantastic blog post then a 3hour jam right?

It's Gonna Happen

Holiday Deals are popping up everywhere, in my email, twitter stream and even my physical mailbox. It’s like the whole world is telling us to go for a vacation (lol). From overseas trip to local trip, all the locations and prices are definitely tempting and making me heady with all the choices. I also just found that the vacation spot of my dream is also having a special promotion next month!

Unfortunately, although we did plan a trip for March since it coincide with my birthday and our wedding anniversary (12years!), I just don’t think that it’s feasible now. Something personal just popped up and it seems that I have to make another trip back to Singapore to get it settled tomorrow. Then when I returned next week we got to bring Vievie, who has gone into heat last week, to the vet to get her spayed, That plus recovery would set us out till just about the end of March.

Anyway, I am definitely not complaining as things just happens and I believe it’s happening for a reason. I just got to believe that dream vacation is gonna materialized very soon and just thinking about it is making me smile from ear to ear!
